Vintage Persian Malayer Rug

A vintage Persian Malayer rug. Not only on dark blue or dark brown, but ivory-beige, too, is the Herati found in Malayer rugs. In this rustic creation, the Herati pulls away from the sides to give a self-contained, not continuous, effect. Turtle palmettes have been symmetrized and the red main border is full of them and nothing else.
