An antique Persian Malayer Gallery carpet. The navy ground of this eye-catching long carpet displays three columns of European-style floral bouquets, the “gol-farang (European flower)” pattern, within well-drawn ivory in and out turtle palmette main border. Malayer, between Sarouk and Hamadan, is famous for gallery format carpets, but this is one of the best. The copious light blue accents are a particular standout.
