A vintage Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug. A bearded, long-haired dervish heads left, but turns his head to the right against a plain ground with low leafy, flowering plants in front and behind. He carries a typical dervish axe, tea pot and begging bowl (kashkul) and is stylishly, though tattered, attired. The weave is fine and the image must have a print or painted original.
