An antique Persian Kashan carpet. This peach ground Manchester wool Kashan comes from the 1920s and is patterned to resemble the “American” style Sarouks popular during this period (and later) with their detached floral spray patterns. The weave is finer and more even than on the Sarouk contemporaries, however. The dark blue border displays palmettes enmeshed in dense floral growth.
