A vintage Persian Malayer rug. Small light blue and lemon yellow accents stand out against the medium brown ground with its fringed palmettes, bitonal ‘fish’ leaves, and central rosette, all structured by a straight stiff vine trellis. A yellow accent shows in the grey-blue star and bars central border of this west Persian village long rug. Sienna brown abrash strips appear at each field end.
