A vintage Persian Malayer rug. Brick accents on the pyramidal border palmettes are the most eye-catching elements in the straw major frame, while the well-abrashed pearl to graphite field shows a relatively spacious array of ashiks,  octagons, and palmettes, but none of the usually tilted rhomboids, accented in cream, straw, rust, and brick on this west Persian rural scatter.
