Vintage Persian Kurdish Bag

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation, with wool weft-faced plainweave. The brick-madder field centers an ecru eight-pointed oblate star, surrounded by rosettes and anchored by a flattened bitonal knot rosette. A brick main border carries a scattered mosaic pattern, while the minor borders feature small squares or slanted dashes. The back is striped in beige, brick, brown, and golden tan.
