Vintage Persian Malayer Throw Rug

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The exceptionally wide sand border features floating dark rosettes, reversing convex palmettes, and a notched meander. The small grey-slate field displays a central column of fringed, nested lozenges, with leaves and rosettes along the sides. Fringed sand corners enclose additional rosettes.
