A vintage Persian Quom Silk carpet. This very finely knotted, central Persian urban workshop silk room size carpet shows a yellow field with a gently scalloped and pendant medallion and surging multi-colored corners, with a curvilinear tendril and flower pattern overall and divided by tonal sections in the corners. Rose, ivory, navy, pale green, rust and sky blue are among the accent tones. Escutcheon palmettes and half-medallions adorn the closely patterned main border. Qum silks are among the most luxurious of post-WWII Persian rugs.
