A vintage Persian Tabriz rug. Two turreted Salor Turkmen guls accented in red and lighter blues, with attendant fractional minor guls, dominate the rust field of this vintage rug from Tabriz. An inner light blue border of colorful, plain stars frames the whole in a most non-Turkmen style. At first glance, one may assume this is a tribal or village rug, possibly Turkoman or Baluchi, because of its design, but it is, in fact, a city Persian Tabriz rug.
