A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a wool foundation, employing a wool weft-float technique. This small tribal piece presents a pole field with a densely nested, concentric lozenge design on a purple-brown ground. A crenelated triangle main border frames the composition, with ecru-ground minor borders carrying diamond mosaics and a plain outer band. Above, a wide band of flatweave rows of truncated ashiks appears. Goat-hair brown overcast, herringbone-style sides and four dark wool corner tassels complete the piece. A small work displaying a wide range of tribal weaving techniques.
