Wool pattern warps and wefts in a warp/weft-faced plainweave. This four-panel, squarish piece displays an offset plaid pattern in dark red, near black, and ecru, with twill and herringbone sections creating subtle color mixtures. Originally, the strips formed part of a 24-foot band. It now functions as a wall hanging, cover, or wrapper, and is a work of the Qashghai tribe.
