Antique Persian Senneh Tabriz Rug

An antique Persian Senneh Tabriz rug. This scatters with a mink brownfield decorated with a version of the Herati pattern has a single wefted weave more characteristic of Senneh than Tabriz which almost always employs two wefts for a more solid handle. The very dark brown main border is rendered in the Tabriz style with rosettes and upright leaves. This is a finely woven rug with interesting technical features and an understated design.
