Antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili Rug

An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. A light rust prayer field with a tall, pointed ivory band edged niche, displays a black/dark blue faience vase holding flowering carnation stems.   Smaller vases flank the larger. The royal blue border shows sawtooth bounded rosettes and dynamic oblique floral forms. This extremely attractive and finely woven antique rug comes from the coveted “Hajji Jalili” period of Tabriz weaving.
