Wool pattern warps and wefts in a warp/weft-faced plainweave. Reminiscent of a Scottish tartan textile, this Qashghai tribal weaving is organized into four panels in red and navy, with color transitions achieved through twill and herringbone sections. Originally a narrow band approximately 24 feet long, it now functions well as a cover, wrapper, or wall piece.
