Wool pattern warps and wefts in a warp/weft-faced plainweave. Solid and mixed ecru vertical and horizontal stripes create a bold ladder effect across four offset panels. Additional solid tones include red and royal blue, complemented by color-mixed twill and herringbone sections. The overall design forms an offset plaid pattern. Originally part of a 25-foot band, this Qashghai tribal weaving was intended as a room divider, hanging, or cover.
