Wool pattern warps and wefts on a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. Made exclusively by Qashghai tribes for local domestic use, this relatively somber moj lacks ecru squares and is limited to a bitonal combination of bright red and dark blue, with extensive color mixing achieved through twill and herringbone weaves. Ideal as a wrapper, wall piece, or cut into pillow faces. Four panels show significant, though visually unobtrusive, offsetting.
