Vintage Tabriz Rug

This recent scatter shows a cheetah in hot pursuit of a gazelle, both bounding across the semi-open scarlet ground with full stemmed flowers obliquely placed in the corners. The paired, colorful birds in the flowering stem border ignore the central drama completely. Central image probably taken from a print or photograph.
