Vintage Turkish Anatolian Room Size Carpet

A Wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The lightly speckled rose field remains mostly empty except for two bold, twenty-lobed, step-like floating medallions, each featuring a symmetrized central ragged palmette, creating a striking visual effect. The ecru strip-style border is adorned with batons, leaves, and lozenge-shaped geometric flowers. Large Kars carpets with such striking patterns have only become available in the last twenty years or so.
