A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The bipartite rust field displays, in each half, a five-part pole medallion composed of linked rectangles containing stars and terminating in pointed ends. The central bar is repeated along the surrounding sides and decorated with squared, floating rosettes in the Caucasian style. The piece is very well-drawn for the type and the relatively consistent field tone is exceptional.
