Vintage Turkish Anatolian Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. This rustic kenareh (runner) displays a predominantly pale oatmeal, straw, and wheat-beige palette, with broad areas of dusty rose and pale tan, and a darker taupe-brown band of panel abrash toward the upper end. Woven with wedged wefts, the field carries a highly subdued array of offset, hooked diamonds in the Jaf Kurd manner. A narrow wheat-beige border features faint repeating square motifs.
