Vintage Turkish Anatolian Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The old gold to warm apricot-tan field displays a succession of larger lozenges enclosing groups of smaller lozenges or nested ashiks, rendered in pale cream, dusty rose, soft brown, muted orange, tan, and touches of grey-green. In one section, the smaller lozenges expand into a full-width cartouche. The sand-to-warm-ivory main border features a brisk zigzag pattern accented in pale orange, dusty rose, and brown. The overall tonality tends toward old gold.
