A vintage Turkish Sivas carpet. Three columns of six octagons each fill the beige field of this well-woven eastern Turkish town workshop carpet.  The style ultimately depends on Turkmen archetypes, but here the palette is light instead of the saturated reds and blues of Central Asia. A simple and narrow rosette border makes a discreet frame.
