A vintage Turkish Sivas rug. Three columns of four panels, each enclosing a colorful miniature prayer niche rug, totally fill the field of this Sivas rug woven for the Istanbul tourist market. The niche tones include golden-yellow, pale blue, rust and ivory. The individual designs are adaptations of 18th century Ghiordes prayer rugs.
