An antique French Tapestry carpet. A Fete Gallant scene of aristocrats observing a peasant fishing with a net in the foreground stream. A staircase leads to a chateau at the rear of the scene. A decorative urn is placed on the pilaster above the figures. Something influenced by Francois Boucher, no doubt. Soft colors and a decorative period sensibility.
