An antique Persian Bibikabad carpet. The soft graphite ground displays two columns of brick shield-shaped motives and the central line of bitonal paired palmettes along with lazily drawn devices in ivory. The main border abrashes from rust to brick and shows a doubly-connected serrated lozenge-rosette pattern on this Hamadan area, west Persian village large carpet.
