An antique Persian Dorokhsh rug. Thirteen rows of leftward facing botehs are tightly entwined in a dense allover vinery. The salmon border has pairs of thin curved leaves. Doroksh rugs come from Khorassan province and, as here, are particularly finely woven for village productions. The pattern derives from 19th-century Persian textiles.
