An antique Persian Hamadan rug. An enormous, bold simplified tree extends the height and breadth of the light brown field of this wonderfully offbeat Hamadan rug. The slender tan border of linked squares gives way to the one-of-a-kind main element. There are definitely secondary cruciforms lodged between the branches of the central tree of life. Looks like a Gabbeh from south Persia. Colors go anywhere.
