An antique Persian Karajeh carpet from the early 20th century. A very large oversized Karajeh with an abrashed grey to slate field supporting five columns of characteristic Karajeh medallions, either octagrams or hooked lozenges detailed in ivory, sand, green, and rust-red. Tiny color dots flat around the angular turtle palmettes in the rust-red main border. A very beautiful NW Persian Karajeh oversized carpet.
