An antique Persian Kurdhish rug. Five and one half stepped cruciform ‘Memling’ guls are formed into a pole medallion defined by a polychrome zig-zag mosaic of tiny squares on each side. The ‘bug’ motives in the border are characteristic of Kurdish and Azerbaijani village weaving.  Mustard yellow and camel are among the accent tones.
