An antique Persian Kurdish runner. This western Persian Kurdistan village runner shows a rust field with a palmette, oblique stiff vine, floret and full flower design. Botehs are fitted into irregular seven-sided polygons along the field edges. The ecru border has a very sketchy forked tendril and skimpy palmette pattern that is definitely rustic and almost looks like the work of a weaver distinct from the field’s artisan.
