An antique Persian Mahal carpet. A broken floral diamond lattice with well-filled interior cells goes on forever in every direction on the brick ground of this giant west Persian village carpet clearly woven for a special commission. The pale grey border hosts turtle palmettes including a few orange ones that give an approximate date range from 1890 to 1905. The pattern is relatively delicate for such a huge carpet and furniture placement is easy if you can find a room large enough.
