Interconnected forked ivory split arabesques dominate the allover pattern with a second, lower arabesque level and millefleurs sections scattered about on the brownfield of this attractive NW Persian workshop carpet. The asbrashed light brown border connects ovoid palmettes with a broad strapwork arabesque in a 16th-century manner.
