An antique Persian Mahal carpet. Two columns of cartouches outlined in cream decorate the chocolate field.  Recurved leaves, flowers and small flower bunches are also detailed in cream, as is the main border with well-drawn flower sprays and individual multi-floret plants. This is an attractive and unusual western Persian Arak region village large carpet.
