A special order with a red and gold three dot and double wave repeating pattern (“cintamani”) definitely in the Ottoman Turkish manner, within a slate palmette and frond border. The field resembles Ottoman 17^th century velvets in pattern. Cotton foundation, moderate weave. West Persian rustic rug. The weavers obviously started with a precise model of a pattern foreign to them. God condition for a very striking carpet.
