This is a virtually lozenge less/diamond less version of the characteristic Herati design with all the chromatic emphasis on the palmettes, rosettes and lancet leaves. The pattern is closely set and has a general offset layout. Narrow, main ecru border of flattened and simplified turtles. Light, non-competitive palette. Well-woven on cotton foundation.
