This striking piece features a madder-red to warm brick-red field with five and a half floating Lenkoran-style medallions in ecru, ivory, black-brown, light blue, turquoise, muted green, coral, and straw-yellow, each enclosing a tall, multi-legged centipede hexagon within an octagonal surround. The dark brown to burgundy main border displays a colorful Caucasian interpretation of the crab pattern. A golden-yellow outer minor border features floating multicolored stars. An excellent natural-dye palette.
