A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The warm rust-colored field features a carefully arranged lattice of open dumbbells and semi-rectangular open cartouches, accented by rosettes, octograms, and serrated leaves. The sandy-toned border showcases a partially hooked trapezoidal vine with small flowers in the reserves. These kellegis (long rugs) were a popular creation in Malayer during the early 20th century.
