An antique Persian Senneh Tabriz carpet. The visually advancing rust field of this interwar NW Persian town large carpet exhibits an elaborate and well-filled “Vase carpet” design of medium-sized palmettes, millefleurs sprays, and various vineries, framed by a receding sandy ecru border of brown detailed palmettes. The weave approximates Senneh carpets rather than the usual Tabriz technique.
