Antique Persian Serab Rug

An antique Persian Serab rug. This pattern with a hexagonal blue medallion on an ivory and camel tone comb striated hexagonal panel is usually repeated up the field of runners. Serab scatters are relatively uncommon. The construction is solid and compact, and although the pile is somewhat short, they give excellent wear. The ivory square and quasi-dot array ivory ground border is a Serab feature.
