Tightly spiraling volute tendrils and serrated leaves, some in dark brown, are among the important devices on the sandy ivory field of this urban NW Persian fine-weave room size carpet. Large recurved and serrated acanthus leaves connect the reversing turtle palmettes of the taupe border.
