An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. The ivory field with its flowers and corner double volutes supports a cartouche-shaped rose subfield which, in turn, contains a scalloped and stepped ivory ogival medallion. A graceful vine in the border weaves its way around two styles of palmettes. This is a finely knotted, extremely well-drawn antique Tabriz scatter of the ‘Hajji Jalili’ period in the late 19th century.
