Antique Persian Tabriz Rug

An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. This ruglet reduces a large carpet to table cover size. The lobed medallion in beige and rust brown on the abarshed dark blue ground is matched by enlarged field corners.  The dark blue main border shows stars and slanted leaves. The weave is quite fine and regular, and the pattern is well-balanced bilaterally.
