An antique Turkish Kayseri rug. This is likely a central Anatolian niche-design scatter from the town of Ladik. The royal blue field and near black spandrels have the double rosette and leaf “ face” pattern. Below the field is the characteristic Ladik light red tulip panel, and the main yellow border of short, angular tendrils and rosettes is a Ladik perennial.
