Antique Turkish Herekeh Carpet

An antique Turkish Herekeh carpet. A wide ivory broken main border surrounds the cartouche form field with a small lattice and dot pattern, and a central oval embedded in a floral wreath. Rust is the most important secondary color. Like many Herekes, there is a definite European flavor to the rug, in this case maybe something like a mid-19th century Aubusson.
