Antique Turkish Oushak Carpet

An antique Turkish Oushak carpet. A tall, skinny stepped lozenge, the ivory medallion is placed at the center of the medium brown ground of this western Anatolian town rug with palmette panels stretching across the ends of the field. The dark brown border alternates rosettes and flowering stems.
