Modern Spanish Aubusson Small Room Size Carpet

A modern Spanish-made Aubusson-style small room size carpet from the late 20th century. This slightly square format European carpet consists of 12 decorated, almost ceiling-like, squares.  Ecru roundels with interior floral wreaths fill the square panels and a graphic orthogonal frame neatly arranges the elements on the beige ground. Spare, precise, and elegant, this pileless, tapestry-woven carpet works surprisingly well in modern interiors.
