A vintage Afghan Baluch rug. This somewhat worn shabby chic NW Afghanistan tribal scatter in the “Mushwanee” style displays two deeply nested hooked diamond devices on a brownfield, with more hooked filler lines completing the design. Goldenrod and rust are among the important detail tones. At each end is a wide flat woven strip with weft-float ornamentation.
