Vintage East Turkestan Khotan Carpet

A vintage East Turkestan Khotan carpet. The initial and final vases are square bodied, and the tree branches start and end flatly horizontal, but the long in-between stretches of the trees have angled stems deploying scaliform fruit on the mid-brown ground. A cloud head version of the Chinese Yun-Tsao Tou border frames the rug.
