An antique European Art Deco carpet inspired by Edward McKnight Kauffer. This asymmetric Art Deco pile carpet has a broad stripe and corner basket weave border with one corner star framing a two-tone field of round, spiky stars and smooth roundels. The colors include mauve, ivory, and green. The clever asymmetry becomes more apparent the more one considers the carpet. It has the 1930s ocean liner look about it.
